WebMar 21, 2024 · Moving to Alteryx, I copied the Fixed Width Importing Spec from MS Access into an Excel (.CSV) Spreadsheet for the Alteryx Import Tool when setting up the import file. I noticed that there were some differences, so I adjusted the MS Access Importing Spec to match the Alteryx Fixed Width format. MS Access Spec Fields: WebStart Easy Data Transform. Make sure the Auto Run button is pressed in. Drag the fixed width file you wish to convert onto Easy Data Transform. If you are prompted for the default file type choose Fixed width. A pink input item will be added. Ensure the pink input item is selected and the Type drop-down list in the Right pane is set to Fixed width.
