WebJul 20, 2024 · So far the DT1990 seems like a great all-arounder, especially good for anything exciting like rock. I was initially worried because I previously tried the DT990 Pro once and I hated them, but thankfully the DT1990 is much better. Currently using the A pads, could not stand the B pads -- they reminded me of a DT990 on steroids. WebThe headphones are ranked purely by sonic performance. Fit, isolation, durability, build quality etc. are ignored unless they interfere with the sound itself. The headphones are not ranked in terms of price-to-performance value. They are ranked according to what I think is “objectively” the best.

It's really an orgasmic headphone for energic, rock'n roll, Doom metal stuff. Punch, bite, precision, resolution all there with an ok soundstage. Nicely resolves complex passages. I miss it.
