I went to Home Depot and bought screws that were 1/4" shorter and it worked. The IKEA screws would get 3/4 of the way in then just strip - hence, the 1/4" shorter version. Webb29 okt. 2015 · Author. if the standoff is stuck to the screw you can remove the whole board and then grip the standoff from the back. but if the standoff is still in the case and its the screw thats messed up you should leave all other screws in so that the board isnt being help up by that one screw. when it comes out it could drop the motherboard.
